Breakdown of Chain Of Command In PKR? - Aziz

KUCHING: DAP Tupong Service Centre Coordinator Abdul Aziz Isa said that Azmin Ali, prior to him being appointed as MB Selangor, was technically stripped of all party posts except Deputy President where he used to be PKR Election Director where candidancy and seat negotiations was under his purview, now it is handled by Nurul Izzah.

Aziz, who is also the Special Assistant of Sarawak DAP Chairman Chong Chieng Jen said that, in terms of Party's heirachy, Azmin Ali has no say in seat negotiations.

"Vernon's (PKR Betong branch chief Vernon Aji Kedit) statement on the other hand reflects the breakdown in the chain of command in PKR, how can a publicity officer declare which seat should be divided and what not."

"Vernon is clearly suffering from verbal diorrhea," said Aziz sarcastically in a press statement to Sarawakiana today.

"The chain of command must be respected at all times and we in DAP are respected because of that. All seat or candidancy announcements are the prerogative of the State Chair or Party Sec General," added Aziz.

He also stressed that, in no uncertain terms should anybody else in the Party should say anything about this, as they just work the ground.

Yesterday, Azmin, who was on a visit at Sarawak had announced in one of his talks that they will contest in the three DUN constituencies in Petra Jaya Parliament in which, two had been eyed by DAP.

Aziz, is one of DAP's Bumiputera rising star and have the potential to be one of the candidates in the next State Election.

"With this announcement by PKR it is imperative that our UBAH efforts on the ground increase ten-fold," said Aziz.

"As far as DAP is concerned, we have invested so much money and time on the seats we want, PKR cannot just come in a claim it. But then again there are instances like Seri Aman and Miri, which I am sure State Commitee can say, will not be repeated again," he added. - Sarawakiana
