Extremist Are Not Welcomed To Sarawak -Adenan


KUCHING: Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Adenan Satem again expressed that no religious extremists and racists are welcomed to this state. 

"The development of the extremists who raised the matter in this country hurts concern all," he said.

"We Sarawakians are a people of peace, the respect  for each other had been the basic of the development of this country. It is time for us, the silent majority who believe in simplicity to to express our voice," said Adenan. 

He said this in his speech at the Opening Ceremony of the SUPP  Triennial Delegates Conference at Dewan Sa’ati, SUPP Headquarters, Jalan Ong Kee near the city here just now. 

Adenan said that they (the state government) will always continue to support Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in whatever situation and condition.

"The problems that is currently occuring in Selangor obviously caused by the oppostion's Party Keadilan Rakyat(PKR), PAS and DAP is a solid warning to us of what of the situation if they ever ruled." 

"We (Sarawak) will also be in the similar situation should they are they are the government as the oppostions' component parties are not solidly united," he said.

On another matter, Adenan said, like it or not he will strive to seek for peace between SUPP and UPP as he is the state BN chairman. 

"I'm not supposed to interfere with the internal affairs of the party, but if it threatens the BN, things to do and that's my job. 

"We want to see the oldest party in the country back to the golden era of the Chinese community is united in one voice without a break," he said.

The officating ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister and also BN Chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, SUPP President Tan Sri Peter Chin and other Sarawak BN component leaders. -Sarawakiana
