PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia rolled out the red carpet for Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
She touched down at the KL International Airport at about 4pm yesterday to begin a three-day official visit here.
The visiting Prime Minister will be accorded an official welcome at Dataran Perdana here today.
She will then proceed to have bilateral talks with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The two Prime Ministers will review cooperation between the two countries and explore areas for further collaboration during their meeting.
Both leaders will also witness the signing of several agreements and Memorandums of Understanding.
Sheikh Hasina is here to reciprocate an official visit by Najib to Dhaka in November last year.
She last visited Malaysia in May 2010 for the 6th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) in Kuala Lumpur.
Both countries have strong economic ties and Malaysia is the largest investor in Bangladesh among Asean nations. - NST
