BAU: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem has announced that the Tun Salahuddin Bridge will be toll free by the end of this year.
Speaking at a land title presentation and cheque handing over ceremony for land compensation today, he said the abolition of the toll would make all of Sarawak toll free.
“We have already scrapped the tolls for Lanang Bridge in Sibu and Asean bridge in Baram.
“By the end of this year, no more tolls at Tun Salahuddin Bridge,” he declared to cheers from those present at Bau Civic Centre.
Signs that Tun Salahuddin bridge toll fares would be eradicated were apparent as notices had been posted at the toll gates recently. - BP
