KUALA LUMPUR: Dewan Rakyat speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia has adjourned parliamentary proceedings to an undetermined date.
The adjournment was made in the midst of heightened expectations that Parliament will soon be dissolved for the upcoming 14th general election (GE14).
During his speech announcing the adjournment, Pandikar Amin reminded Members of Parliament from both sides of the political divide to always be ethical and civil with each other.
"I hope that Yang Berhomat (MPs) will prioritise ethics and overcome mere political interests.
"Please do not be disappointed if you are not selected (as candidates for the GE14) as that is part and parcel of politics," he told MPs in the Dewan Rakyat this morning.-NST
