'Blue Army’ wants ex-SUPP reps to quit their posts

The new generation group of SUPP, known as the Blue Army, is urging those assemblymen who had quit the party to resign as elected representatives.

The group leader, Milton Foo, said it was only apt as the assemblymen had won their seats in the last state election under BNSUPP ticket.

“The people had voted for them not for their personal capabilities, but for the party as a whole.

“The act of deviation and hopping to Teras (Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak) tantamount to betraying the party.

Thus, there is every reason to contend that they are no longer qualified to act as an elected representative of the people for they had won their state election under BN SUPP ticket,” he told a press conference after the launch of Blue Army and the Anti-Teras into BN Campaign last night.

Foo hoped party leaders and members would stay united and firm on the resolute stance taken by the party central to say no to Teras’ admission into the BN fold.

“Our mission is to rally against Teras’ application to join BN.

If they have to apply to join BN, it means they are not BN.

“BN component parties must stand as one. Not just one party say yes and let Teras in. The decision must be based on a consensus from all,” he pointed out.

Foo said the Blue Army currently has 34 members.

“We are a generation of new young members working on a voluntary basis. We are open to all, not just SUPP members. Blue represents the spirit of BN.

“We are here to preserve and uphold the dignity of SUPP as well as the BN spirit as a whole. We invite all to join us,” he said. - BP
