KUALA LUMPUR: Representatives of various political parties from 20 countries attended this year's UMNO General Assembly which was held Dewan Merdeka, Putra World Trade Centre.
According to a National English newspaper, they are from Maldives, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Cambodia, China, Indon, South Korea, Nepal, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Laos, Morocco, Philippines, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, Turkey and Vietnam.
It was said that the internatonal representatives were invited here to witness the entire UMNO General Assembly sessions as on-lookers.
The newspaper also said that Sabah was announced of having the largest number of Umno members with 527,946 members, with Silam division, also from Sabah, with 50,094 members. - Sarawakiana
