‘BN’s Big Win In State Polls Proof Of Adenan The Political Strategist’

KUCHING: The excellent result achieved by Barisan Nasional (BN) in the last state election, in which it won back several seats and increased its majority, is proof of the chief minister’s experience in political strategy.

In stating this, Natural Resources and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem’s approach has always been straightforward and sincere and these contributed to the sway of opposition votes to BN.

“For Santubong, Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) had once again proven its ability to retain Santubong as a BN stronghold,” said Wan Junaidi when officiating at the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry breaking of fast event at Pullman Hotel here on Saturday night.

The event was also attended by PBB members from Santubong parliamentary constituency.

Wan Junaidi further said that the good cooperation and hard work of those in the party machinery were among the reasons why polling stations under Santubong parliamentary constituency recorded big majority wins.

The Santubong MP also congratulated Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi and Dr Hazland Abang Hipni for retaining Pantai Damai and Demak Laut state constituencies respectively in the May 7 state election. Both seats are within the parliamentary constituency of Suntubong.

“Apart from winning back the seats, Dr Abdul Rahman was recently appointed as Assistant Minister for Public Utilities (Electricity and Telecommunications),” said Wan Jinaidi

“It is an honour and something to be proud of for the people of Pantai Damai,” he added.
