#DUNSitting : SALCRA Projects Under The 11th Malaysia Plan

For the first time in this history SALCRA was tasked with developing large areas of land with correspondingly large financial allocation in a single Malaysia Plan ,under the 11th Malaysia Project.

Minister of Land Development, Tan Sri Dr. James Jemut Masing said that, SALCRA has made bid to develop 60,381 hectares of land for oil palm cultivation for new development or replanting of existing estates.

"This involves a total bid of RM815.6 million from the federal government for which RM123 million has been approved for the 2016-2017 Rolling Plan,"

While for the state project, SALCRA has been approved to implement four projects with a total ceiling allocation of RM51.1 million consisting of RM29 million grants and RM22.1 million soft loans.

"I wish to thanks both the federal and state government for approving SALCRA with a huge sum of fund under the 11th Malaysia Plan,"

He added, this will certainly enable SALCRA to develop more land especially in the rural areas to benefit the rural communities, in the line with the State Government Rural Transformation Programme.
